Earth Fest Family Ride to San Francisco Zoo & Gardens

Saturday, April 20 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

As part of San Francisco Zoo & Gardens’ Earth Day celebration, San Francisco Safe Routes to School is teaming up with the SF Bicycle Coalition to offer a Family Ride from the north end of the Great Highway south to San Francisco Zoo & Gardens and welcome you to join and celebrate the joy of biking as a community on a little section of this beautiful earth! Led by our staff members, you’ll have the opportunity to ride with the support of a large group. If you’ve seen smiling people enjoying being out on their bikes riding with the ocean breeze along the Great Highway, this will be your chance to join in the fun. Arrive at 9:00am to check-in. The ride will kick-off at 9:30am. All participants must register for the event in order to attend. Plan on bringing water and snacks. And all registrants get 50% off admission to San Francisco Zoo & Gardens upon arrival!

Location/Route: Approximately 2.5 miles.

Route Map and Details:

  • 9 am: Meetup @ Ocean Beach Parking lot
  • 9:30 am: Ride Out
  • 10:00 am: Ride will end @ The Zoo
