On-Bike Practice for Beginning Adult Cyclists

Saturday, September 19, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

This class is intended for those who have taken our Adult Learn to Ride class and would like more guided instruction before hitting the streets by themselves. We will start by practicing beginner skills including confidently starting and stopping, and scanning and signaling to communicate next moves. After practicing those skills in a car-free space, participants will go on a guided, on-road ride to practice what they have learned.

All participants MUST either bring a bike or rent a bike in advance. Bikes will not be available for rental at the class, but you can rent a bike nearby. We will email instructions on how to do so before the class.

At this time, this class is limited to people 18 years old and above.

COVID-19 protocols: We will be following the protocols laid out by SFDPH here during this class, including temperature checks, face coverings, social distancing, and reduced class sizes. Masks, gloves, wipes, and hand sanitizer will be available at the class.

Please contact Eliana Marcus-Tyler (eliana@sfbike.org or (415) 409-9416‬) with any questions about this program.

This class is part of the SFMTA’s Bicycle Safety Education program, presented in partnership with the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition. It is made possible by the San Francisco County Transportation Authority through a grant of Proposition K Local Transportation Sales Tax Funds.

If you are having trouble registering or adding your name to the waitlist, please go here and register directly through Eventbrite.
