A brief synopsis:

The first bicycles were only available to the most privileged people in society. As they became cheaper to produce, the bicycle became more widely available. However, many groups were banned from riding, racing and joining clubs. This lack representation of BIPOC and women riders in bike culture continues to dictate who sees them self as a potential cyclist. This coupled with the cost, road safety worries and cultural stigmas inform who has access to cycling.

For all the avid riders who want to make biking more accessible to everyone, please join us to learn about the past and how we can change the future.

We’re brought together an amazing panel of community organizers, educators and bike experts to share their experiences and unearth the untold history of bicycles.
