While some volunteer opportunities are only open to current SF Bicycle Coalition members, many opportunities are open to all. Valet Bicycle Parking
Justifiably famous in SF, the SF Bicycle Coalition’s Valet Bike Parking is like a coat check for bikes. Give the precious gift of a worry-free fun time to a fellow bicyclist, all while in the company of other SF Bicycle Coalition volunteers. Our friendly and experienced staff will train you in everything you need to know.
Family & Youth Biking
Help get little feet pedaling at Freedom From Training Wheels and teach the next generation the joys of biking! It’s fun, easy and so rewarding. Our experienced staff will give you the skills you need to help kids scoot, balance and glide on their bikes. If you’re a parent who already rides with your kids, come talk about your experiences and show off awesome gear at one of our Family Biking events.
Bike It Forward
Since 2012, the SF Bicycle Coalition has been working with a variety of community-based organizations around San Francisco to organize Bike It Forward events. Each event is an opportunity for the community to come together and learn about biking in the city in a participatory manner from volunteer wrenchers.
Monthly Volunteer Night
This is the SF Bicycle Coalition’s oldest tradition! Stop by and chat with fellow members and volunteers and help us keep our organization rolling as we collaborate on group office tasks. It is held on the first Tuesday of the month and a light dinner will be provided. We have ample bike parking in our office, so don’t forget to bring your bike inside. RSVP is necessary to attend.
