SUMMARY:BART Bicycle Advisory Task Force*
DESCRIPTION:The BART Bicycle Advisory Task Force (BBATF) is charged with reviewing BART bicycle access programs and projects and working with BART to improve bicycle access to and from stations and onboard trains. The task force has eighteen members: 3 from each of the five counties served by BART (Alameda\, Contra Costa\, San Francisco\, San Mateo and Santa Clara) and 3 at large members. Members are nominated by each county’s Bicycle Advisory Committee or its primary bicycle advocacy organization. Read more about BBATF here. \nThe BBATF meets the first Monday on even numbered months (i.e. Feb\, Apr\, Jun\, Aug\, Oct\, Dec). The meetings are held virtually on Zoom at 6pm. All meetings are open to the public. \n*The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition is not affiliated with the BBATF. By sharing these meetings on our events calendar\, we want to bring visibility to them as another opportunity for the public to participate in bicycle advocacy. \nUse this link to attend the meetings.

SUMMARY:Panel Discussion: Secure Bike Parking for Residents
DESCRIPTION:Please join Urban Environmentalists and Tenants Together for a panel discussion and Q&A to consider how we can bring secure bicycle parking to residential neighborhoods in San Francisco and beyond. \nFor many of us\, but especially for tenants\, lack of secure parking can be a major barrier to riding a bike. Whether it’s fear of theft when parking on the street\, or fear of landlord harassment related to shared breezeways and garages\, the logistics of bike storage can be simply too daunting. We’ll learn about safe and easy parking options to serve all residents\, progress in other cities\, and how to navigate any legal or funding concerns in bringing secure bike parking home to the Bay Area. Please bring your questions and come ready to learn! \nThis event will take place via Zoom. Registered attendees will receive a link approximately 15 minutes prior to the event. \nHosts\nShanti Singh\, Tenants Together\nRobin Kutner\, Urban Environmentalists \nPanelists\nShabazz Stuart\, Oonee\nAdrian Leung\, SFMTA Livable Streets\nBrian Wiedenmeier\, SF Bicycle Coalition \nSign up here to receive the Zoom link.
