San Francisco is starting to understand the value of biking for business. Retailers are attracting more customers on bike, downtown companies bring in more young, talented workers, and employers are seeing drops in their health care costs from more employees biking to work. From Bike Friendly Business Districts to business events, the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition is leading the way in growing the business case for biking.
Make your workplace even more bike-friendly! The SF Bicycle Coalition can help you make your business more bike-friendly and competitive in your field. A Business Membership provides you with tangible benefits for your employees and makes you a smart corporate citizen by supporting the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition’s work to make our city a better place to live, work and play.
We offer unique opportunities for companies seeking to engage the growing number of people bicycling everyday in San Francisco. From event-based corporate recognition, to year-long sponsorship of high visibility programs like Valet Bicycle Parking, to ongoing business membership, your company’s association with the SF Bicycle Coalition can be customized to help you achieve your community-facing objectives while providing financial resources to promote everyday bicycling.
The SF Bicycle Coalition partners with more than 60 bike shops and local businesses through our Discount Partner Program. By offering a unique, ongoing discount to our members and making a cash or inkind contribution to support our nonprofit work, Discount Partners reach a targeted group of consumers committed to shopping locally. This robust program offers varying levels of support and marketing opportunities to match your budget.
Each year we recognize local businesses that go above and beyond to promote bicycling to work. Bicycle-Friendly Business nominations are submitted throughout the month of April by SF Bicycle Coalition members and the general public. Awards are presented by the SF Bicycle Coalition and the Mayor as part of the Bike to Work Day press conference at City Hall each May.
