Women & Non-Binary Bike SF is an SF Bicycle Coalition program that supports and encourages women, trans, and non-binary riders in San Francisco. Our goal is to get more people on bikes more often in fun, supportive and social ways — connecting people who are doing amazing things on bikes all across San Francisco.
Join us for a monthly Coffee Hour, meet new and old friends at social events and rides, and share these resources in your community. Want to stay up-to-date on what’s happening? Sign up for updates with our monthly Women & Non-Binary Bike SF newsletter.
Why Women & Non-Binary Bike SF?
In San Francisco, like the rest of the country, there’s a gender gap in bicycling. The number of WTF commuters in SF is just 32 percent*, and nationally it’s even lower. The program aims to connect more WTF-identified people to biking with events and opportunities in a fun and supportive environment.
Of course, everyone is welcome to be part of Women & Non-Binary Bike SF. Whatever your gender identity, join us in our spirit of equanimity to listen and share, develop leadership and community, and celebrate the joys of bicycling.
*According to the Census Bureau’s 2008-2012 American Community Survey, 32 percent of bicycle commuters in San Francisco identify as women.

There are lots of ways to get riding and learn new things. Here are some of the resources that got us started, and that keep us going.

Rahman Law PC is a civil trial litigation law firm which provides professional legal services to the bicycling community. We understand the unique needs of cyclists when representing them in legal matters and tailor our extensive legal knowledge to each case. We have been supporting local bicycle coalitions for over a decade by sponsoring events, helping with advocacy work, and being a legal resource for bicycle coalition members (we actually love giving free advice to the cycling community!). We have even been known to sponsor women’s racing teams. More than that, the people in our office ride bikes… and love it! Bike law is also our business and because we are devoted to the community, bicyclists make up about 75% of our clients. We fight really, really hard for our clients and we know about litigating cases involving 2-wheelers. That’s not just our perception—that’s what the attorneys on the other side of our cases say about us.
Rahman Law is proud to be a woman- and minority-owned business, not only devoted to the cycling community, but also devoted to creating space for more minority-identified people in the legal world. The owner of the firm, Shaana Rahman, is a leader in the San Francisco legal community and has successfully spearheaded many efforts to increase the diversity of representation in the law.
Shaana Rahman sits on the Board of Directors for Walk San Francisco, a pedestrian advocacy group, the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, and the Central Coast Olive Growers Association.
Rahman Law has offices in San Francisco and Paso Robles.
