The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition is proud to be the leading resource in San Francisco for youth and family biking. Through our partnerships with City and community organizations, we help families and kids get “rolling” and work to make biking safe and accessible for kids of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers.

Youth and Family Workshops
The SF Bicycle Coalition teaches free Family Biking Workshops and classes for all stages of family biking — from biking while pregnant to biking your child to school. We also host Freedom From Training Wheels workshops at every Sunday Streets to teach the littlest ones to bike without training wheels. In addition, you can test ride a family bicycle and talk to our experts about biking with children and equipment options at our ongoing Sunday Streets events.
SF Safe Routes to School
Children who walk and bike to school arrive energized and ready to learn. The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition is a partner organization in San Francisco Safe Routes to School, working to make biking and walking to school safer, easier and more fun for students and their families. Safe Routes to School is expanding to serve all SF Unified School District elementary schools.
