On Thursday, May 15, 2025 join people all over the city in riding your bike to get to wherever you need to go – or just for fun!

Bike to Wherever Day is San Francisco’s favorite biking holiday. The Bay Area Bike to Wherever Days (BTWD) started more than 30 years ago to celebrate biking as a fun commute option, reducing reliance on cars, and promoting wellness. Volunteer: Help us make this the best Bike to Wherever Day yet! Volunteer at one of several Energizer Station locations throughout the city to spread the joy of biking to commuters. Volunteers must attend a mandatory virtual Bike to Wherever Day Ambassador Training to prepare for the event.

Take the Pledge: On Thursday, May 15, join people all over the city in riding your bike to get to wherever you need to go – or just for fun! Take the pledge to ride your bike during the month of May and on #BTWD, and be entered to win a prize bundle including a gift card to The Front Porch, a Spurcycle bell, and SFBike merch. By signing up, you’ll get updates from us on all our planned events like Energizers Stations, city-wide rides, and volunteer opportunities.

Group Ride to Happy Hour

Join us on a group bike ride in the afternoon on Bike to Wherever Day! We’ll meet in front of the Ferry Building at 4:45pm for a no-drop, social bike ride. The route is about 4miles long, and should take us an hour. Afterwards, we’re heading to Rock Bar to celebrate!
