The Green Fondo Nor Cal Weekend Climate Ride is a fundraising bike ride that takes place each year in Sonoma County benefitting nonprofits, like SFBike, working to stop climate change. The ride happens every year, with this year’s happening May 15-17. We encourage you to sign up and join Team SF to raise money for SFBike and/or Walk SF. All of the money you raise goes directly to the organization(s) you choose as beneficiaries. If you sign up, we hope you raise lots of funds, but all that is required is to raise $250 by May 2, 2026.

To register, go here. In the registration process, choose “Join Team” and select “Team SF.” Then, you can select SFBike and/or Walk SF as your beneficiary. Registration is $75 through January 15. The event typically sells out, so don’t wait too long to sign up! You’ll join a wonderful community of people coming together to share an adventure for a great cause. Additional details:

• The weekend event starts the night of the 15th, followed by two days of riding.
• You choose among different rides by distance for each day (30, 60, and 100-mile options on Day One and 20, 30, and 60-mile options on Day Two).
• While many participants are on road bikes, people bring bikes of all types, including e-bikes.
• The base camp is Walker Creek Ranch, a beautiful setting less than 50 miles north of San Francisco. You can camp at night (free) or sleep in a cabin (reasonable fee)
• The participation costs (meals, route support, etc.), except for the registration fee, are covered by Climate Ride’s generous funders.
• As part of Team SF, you can raise funds for the SFBike, Walk SF, and/or one other organization on Climate Ride’s list of beneficiaries (up to 3 total). Being part of Team SF simply means riding to raise funds at least one of these two organizations.
