We organize Bike & Roll to School Week as a proud member of the SF Safe Routes to School partnership. Bike & Roll to School Week takes place every April and is the largest event of its kind in the country. From preschool through high school, all SF schools are invited to take part and celebrate the joys of traveling under your own power!

Pledge to Ride

Pledge to bike and roll this April 20-24 and be entered to win up to $500 in prizes which include anything from a brand new bike, to local swag, and more!

  • What counts as biking and rolling? Everyone is encouraged to bring out all forms of rolling: bikes, skateboards, scooters, and more!
  • Which day should my school celebrate Bike & Roll to School Week? As a school community, you get to choose the best day of the week for your school’s Bike & Roll to School celebration.

Art Contest

Want to have your art featured in every school in the city? Send in your artwork about biking as a student in San Francisco and you could win prizes and the chance to be featured!

Volunteer for Bike & Roll to School Week

We need your help to prepare for thousands of students and families biking and rolling! Join us on Wednesday, April 8 to assemble 7,000 giveaway goody packets for participating students. Refreshments, snacks and fun with fellow school organizers and SF Bicycle Coalition members make this an annual event not to be missed. Supervised children are welcome to join and assist.
