Our goal: raise $100,000 to help support the daily operations of our three temples: City Center, Green Gulch Farm, and Tassajara Zen Monastery.
Join us on April 15th at Green Gulch Farm for a Day of Celebration and rejoice in the joy of giving! Bike ride from City Center to Green Gulch. Hike the ridges overlooking the farm. Quiet the mind and sit in the Zendo. Care for your body and practice yoga. Savor a lunch of Green Gulch organic fare and settle into the quiet of the valley.
Leave at 9.00am for a long bike ride from City Center, located at 300 Page St in San Francisco, to Green Gulch Farm in Mill Valley. Arrive in time for lunch! The departure time from Green Gulch back to the city will be at 4:00 pm. This ride is 40 miles and 3,000ft in elevation gain/loss.
This ride will be co-led by Zachary Smith and Shundo David Haye. Zachary is a Dharma Wheels board member, husband and father of four, an engineer, a musician, a bike fanatic, and an avid but mediocre poet. Shundo was ordained as a Soto Zen priest in 2009 and prefers to find himself outdoors on a bike or behind a camera lens, just not at the same time.
