You know you can’t celebrate Bike Month without watching the best bicycle film of all time–Breaking Away!

Join our Deputy Director Rahul Young and our Volunteer and Membership Coordinator Chris Bannister as they go deep on this coming-of-age dramedy set in Bloomington, Indiana that won the 1979 Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. In an homage to one of Rahul’s favorite podcasts, The Rewatchables, we’ll be debating each other, and inviting conversation from participants, in the following categories and more:

  • Most Rewatchable Scene
  • What’s Aged the Best/Worst
  • Could This Movie Be Remade as a Ten Episode Netflix Series?
  • Best Quote
  • Half-Assed Internet Research
  • The Commemorative “Julianne Moore in Magnolia” Overacting Award
  • Who Won the Movie?

After you register below, check your Eventbrite confirmation email for the Zoom link to access the event.

If this time doesn’t work for you, register anyway and we’ll send you a link to the recording after the event.
