Freedom from Training Wheels at Dolores Huerta Elementary School

Saturday, April 18 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

FREE

Freedom from Training Wheels is a great way to get kids riding without training wheels! Come check out this drop-in class at Dolores Huerta Elementary! There will also be information on the Bay Wheels bike share program — including free ride codes to try the system out, food made by local families, and more.

This class is best for children ages 2-5, but older children are welcome if they fit the size range of the bikes on hand. We will have pedal bikes, balance bikes, and helmets available for your little one to use for free. If you have your own, feel free to bring it! If you want to start practicing at home, check out our How to Teach your Child to Ride a Bike Guide (English, Español, 中文) with step-by-step instructions.

A parent/caregiver must stay with their child for the duration of the class.

This class is part of the SFMTA’s Bicycle Safety Education program, presented in partnership with the nonprofit San Francisco Bicycle Coalition. It is made possible in part by Proposition L Sales Tax dollars provided by the San Francisco County Transportation Authority.
