Late last year, near-term protected bike lanes were constructed on Folsom Street from 11th to 5th. Because our busiest bike routes need protection now, we want to see similar parking protected bike lanes on Howard fast-tracked.

To talk through the upcoming near term project for Howard, we’re hosting a ride with the SF Municipal Transportation Agency staff that designed the bike lanes. This will be an opportunity for you, our members, to let them know what you want to see in the project to be built by end of 2018.

The ride will go as follows:

• Meet at the Folsom and Harriet (the alley behind Gene Friend rec. Center)
• Stop at key locations to hear from the project staff and provide feedback.
• End at a location TBD to debrief and talk about upcoming opportunities to continue improving the corridor.
