Join us at the Mission Bay Library!
In partnership with Bay Wheels, we’re offering a course about bicycling for everyday riding in SF and how to use the Bay Wheels system. In this 90-minute program, the first half of the class will be in the classroom, and in the second half we’ll hit the streets, checking out Bay Wheels docking stations and going for a short group ride on Bay Wheels bikes. This is a great class for people who already know how to bike but are considering bicycling more in the city, joining Bay Wheels, or looking to brush up on city riding skills. All students will receive a month of free rides and 6 lucky class attendees will win an annual Bay Wheels memberships!
Topics Covered:
- Helmet fit
- Preparing to Ride
- Rules of the Road
- Safety Skills & Tips
- Route Planning
- How to use Bay Wheels
- Bike Share for All (for low-income participants)
No bicycle is necessary for this class. We strongly recommend participants bring their own bike helmet!
