LIGHT UP THE NIGHT: GREEN APPLE BOOKS BIKE RIDE

Thursday, December 7, 2023 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Bbike riders on JFK Promenade

Join us for a merry and bright Light Up the Night bike ride from the Sunset to the Richmond district in San Francisco! Starting at Green Apple Books on the Park, we’ll pedal our way through beautiful Golden Gate Park and end at Green Apple Books Richmond for the Clement Street Association’s annual holiday Clementine Holiday Stroll where we’ll be passing out free front and rear lights!

Whether you’re a seasoned bike rider or just starting out, this event is perfect for all skill levels. We’ll provide a safe and enjoyable route, led by experienced guides from the SF Bicycle Coalition. Meet fellow book and bike enthusiasts, and shop local for the holidays – as always, enjoy 10% off at Green Apple Books with a current SF Bicycle Coalition Membership. Green Apple Books will provide complimentary refreshments at the end of the ride, too!

So, hop on your wheels and let’s read and roll! Free RSVP here.

*We have a limited amount of Bay Wheels bike share promo codes available if you need a bike – request during checkout!

Ride details:

This is ~1 mile, family-friendly ride. Please bring your own bike and helmet. Arrive at Green Apple Books on the Park, 9th Ave at 5:00 pm to check in. Grab free front and rear lights courtesy of Bay Area Bicycle Law. The ride will roll out at 5:30 pm. We’ll ride on MLK Jr. Drive, take a right onto Museum Concourse, and exit Golden Gate Park at the 8th Ave gate. The ride will end at Green Apple Books on Clement Street. We know some people might be planning on attending the Holiday Tree Lighting in GGP, so those riders can detour onto JFK Promenade as the ride continues to Green Apple Books on Clement for the Clementine Holiday Stroll.
