Golden Gate National Recreation Area bicycle projects

Bicycle Network Improvement project for Fort Mason and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area

The Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA) is working on closing the gaps in their bicycle network. This includes: Fort Mason, Crissy Field, Vista Point in the Marin Headlands, sections of the Bay Trail, and more.

If you bike through these areas, this meeting is a great opportunity to give feedback on the future of bike access and connectivity. This is a National Park Service project and therefore goes through federal processes that are very lengthy. They are currently in the outreach phase of the project and now is the time for you to give feedback on the designs directly to GGNRA staff.

Since this is federal land, these areas are not part of the SFMTA’s Biking and Rolling Plan. That means it’s very important to participate in the GGNRA’s bike project in order to achieve our goal of a truly city-wide, interconnected network of car-free and people-prioritized mobility corridors. Your participation in this process will help us reach this goal.

This is a member-only meeting so check that your membership with the SF Bicycle Coalition is current or please renew before attending the meeting. You must RSVP to attend as our space can only hold a certain number of people.
