Picnic & party for JFK Promenade
Sunday, April 28, 2024 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Event Navigation

On April 28, 2020, as a pandemic emergency measure, Mayor London Breed created 24-7 car-free space on 1.5 miles of JFK Drive in Golden Gate Park. Four years and two historic campaigns later, JFK Promenade is permanently open to people and closed to vehicle traffic.
Come celebrate the joy, safety, and sustainability of JFK Promenade at a public picnic! Meet us at Peacock Meadow, where we’ll have be games and activities for all ages. Bring your blanket and a picnic; there will also be food trucks. Please pack it in and pack it out to minimize waste, and RSVP so that we know you’re coming!
Walk San Francisco is hosting the celebration, with partners the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, KidSafe SF, Church of 8 Wheels, and San Francisco Recreation & Park Department.
