SPUR: The Future of Urbanist Advocacy in San Francisco*

Tuesday, February 6, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$10

What does it mean to be an “urbanist” right now in San Francisco? A number of local advocacy organizations comprised of urbanists are pushing the city to better address planning, transportation and housing needs. Where have they succeeded and what can they do better? Engage with these groups in a conversation that will cover a myriad of topics, including sustainable urbanism, equity, regulation, democracy and public engagement, aesthetics and neighborhood character and, of course, politics.
