Supermarket Street Sweep*
Saturday, December 2, 2017 @ 10:30 am - 6:00 pm
Event Navigation
The Supermarket Street Sweep (aka “SMSW” or “The Sweep”) is an annual bike race that benefits the SF-Marin Food Bank (SFMFB). Since 2005, hundreds of participants have zipped around the city to local supermarkets and brought back thousands of pounds of food to donate to this wonderful charity.
WHEN: Saturday, December 2, 2017 – RAIN OR SHINE!
Rider check-in starts at 10:30AM. Ideally, SMSW will get all of you on the road by noon once SMSW makes a short speech and hand out the manifests (which lists the stores you’ll visit and the items you’ll buy to donate to the food bank). Race and fundraising end at 4:00PM
WHERE: The race starts at Cupid Span’s (Bow & Arrow) at Folsom and Embarcadero. Please meet here to check in for the event. You don’t need to bring or print out your Eventbrite registration/ticket. The race ends at the SF-Marin Food Bank.
PRE-REGISTER: Registration opens October 2, 2017 at 9:00AM (The first 200 to sign up will receive special swag!)
RACE-DAY REGISTRATION: Only for SPEED/POINTS and CARGO categories; there is no race-day registration for the TEAM category.
AFTER PARTY: The race ends at the SF-Marin Food Bank, and this is also where the party will be. No additional travel necessary! There will be a raffle from 5:30-6:00PM (if you pre-registered on Eventbrite, you’ll automatically be entered.) SMSW is planning on awarding prizes to the top five men and women in the POINTS and CARGO categories, the top five TEAMS, and the top three FUNDRAISERS at 6:00PM.
