DESIGN WORKSHOPS FOR SLOW STREETS

Join us for an online member workshop to develop a collective vision for a permanent, ongoing Slow Streets program!

Register here via Zoom.

San Francisco’s Slow Streets program has provided communities with vital space to exercise, socialize, and move around the city. Originally designed for distancing during the pandemic, the Slow Streets program has demonstrated that our streets can be social, civic spaces that bring communities together while connecting them sustainably to the rest of the city.

On October 14, the City will decide on the future of the Slow Streets program, and your San Francisco Bicycle Coalition is working to ensure that the program evolves from emergency status to an ongoing, permanent program with full city support. To be successful, the program will need to focus on connecting neighborhoods to each other and to amenities. It will also require a commitment to partnering with communities, particularly historically marginalized ones, to develop new Slow Streets. Come contribute your voice to filling out a vision for a People’s Slow Streets program!
