On Thursday, December 13, 2018, Marin Museum of Bicycling will present The Lakes of Tamalpais, an illustrated talk by Marin Municipal Water District senior park ranger Matt Cerkel. Matt Cerkel, a Marin native, has worked extensively to study and document the human history and natural history of Mt. Tamalpais. Mr. Cerkel prepared this talk on Mt. Tam’s lakes to mark the 2019 centennial of the creation of Alpine Lake.
Matt Cerkel has worked for over 23 years as a ranger with the Marin Municipal Water District. He is president of Park Rangers Association of California. He is also a wildland firefighter, peace officer, field training officer, and firefighting instructor.
Tickets can be purchased in advance through Eventbrite, at the Marin Museum of Bicycling (11:00 am – 5:00 pm Thursdays – Sundays) and a limited number will be available at the door the evening of the event unless it’s sold out. Seating is limited, and advance tickets do not reserve seats, so please arrive early to get your seat and to enjoy museum displays. Bring your tickets (paper or e-confirmation) for faster check-in.
