Webinar: Reimagine Our Streets
Wednesday, December 9 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
This year has us reimagining everything, from what our streets look like to how people get around.
Our daily lives look different — and our future will too. Right now, we have a chance to reimagine our city’s future. Join us on Wednesday, December 9 to hear directly from San Francisco Bicycle Coalition staff about how we plan to reimagine our streets for the better.
- From Slow Streets, Golden Gate Park, Twin Peaks, the Great Highway and more, we’ve seen a lot of new car-free spaces in 2020. Learn about our plan to fight to ensure these spaces become permanent — which won’t be easy.
- The pandemic has changed how many people in our city get around. With real challenges to transit capacity and service, hear about how we plan to encourage as many people as possible to turn to biking to avoid an influx of automobile trips.
- In the past, we’ve mistakenly emphasized the role that police enforcement plays in making our streets safe. In 2021, in partnership with other organizations in the Tenderloin, we’re piloting new community-based alternatives to traffic enforcement. Be the first to hear about this new program and how it has the potential to be replicated nationally.
