Women Bike SF: Let’s Practice Together

Sunday, March 26, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Free

New to biking? Come practice with Juli, alumna of the SF Bicycle Coalition Adult Learn How to Ride Class, & other experienced riders. We’ll do an easy ride in Golden Gate Park’s car-free space, then ride a bit in traffic, and end with tasty treats in the Richmond District!

No hills and experienced cyclists will be around to accompany us. Feel free to leave early if you’re not ready for street traffic. Put your bike on the bus or rent one close by and join us! Email juli@sfbike.org with questions about the ride.

Meeting Location: Meet at the large tree in front of McLaren Lodge on the NW corner of Fell & Stanyan Sts at Golden Gate Park.

Schedule:
10-11AM: Optional skills practice and refresher (at Pompeii circle by the Conservatory of Flowers; map)
• 11AM: Meet group for ride at McLaren Lodge
• 3PM: Approximate ending time (with treats!)

If you aren’t ready to bike to the starting location by yourself, you can always place your bike on the bus – we’ve got a video to show you how! Or, you can rent a bike from any of the locations near the park. Please call for rates, details and to make any needed reservations – remember to show up early enough to get to the meeting point.

Avenue Cyclery: 756 Stanyan St. (415-387-3155)
Golden Gate Park Bike Rentals: 1816 Haight St. (415-922-4537)
Park Wide Bike Rentals: multiple pop-up locations (415-671-8989)

Please note that the ride will be canceled in the case of rain.
