10th Annual Wheels for Meals Ride*

The 10th Annual Wheels for Meals Ride is a charity bike ride to support Meals on Wheels programs in Alameda County. Meals on Wheels of Alameda County delivers 2,200 nutritious meals to home bound seniors every day. Taking place on Saturday, October 26 at Shadow Cliffs Regional Park, there are three ride options: 70-mile ride, 35-mile ride and 15-mile ride. After the ride, stick around for a gourmet BBQ lunch. The Supermarket Street Sweep is an annual bike race that benefits the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. Last year, 166 racers brought in 18,202 lbs. of food on their bicycles and raised $21,229! Since 2005, hundreds of participants have zipped around the city to local supermarkets and brought back thousands of pounds of food to donate to the SF-Marin Food Bank.
