Every two years the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition conducts a member survey that quite literally guides our work for the next two years. The survey gives our members an opportunity to give feedback on how we’re doing and input on where we should be focusing our efforts.
With 15 full-time staff and about a thousand member-volunteers a year, the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition powers a lot of different campaigns and programs aimed to achieve our mission of promoting the bicycle for everyday transportation. We’ve made a lot of progress in the past years — like smoother pavement on Market St, all-access to bikes on BART, a pilot project on Folsom Street and the passing of a new resolution to cut bike theft in half— but there is much more to do to make our City the bicycling environment it can and should be.
Do you want to us focus more energy to on-street improvements? Bicycle or driver education? Bike Valet? Family Biking? How about community building events? If you’re a current member of the SF Bicycle Coalition, tell us what you think by taking the member survey today.
As a member-supported-organization, member guide our work in so many ways — by speaking up at meetings, volunteering at outreach stations, signing petitions, writing letters, participating in a committee, and so much more. Members of the SF Bicycle Coalition have added their voice to the call for safer streets and a better city and have helped to win the bicycling improvements we all enjoy in San Francisco today. Now is the time for our members to take 10 minutes to provide crucial feedback that will tell us where to focus our collective energy in our ever-changing City.
The Member Survey is open until Thursday, March 20, at 2PM. If you’re a member of the SF Bicycle Coalition check your email for an invitation to take the survey — and thanks for your input! If you’re not yet a member of the SF Bicycle Coalition, or have let your membership lapse, now is a great time to renew. You’ll receive an invitation to take the member survey in your welcome email if you renew your membership before Thursday of this week.
Members, thank you for all you do to make our city a better place to live work and bike. Our work wouldn’t be possible without you!
