Experience the San Francisco Pride Parade firsthand with the SF Bicycle Coalition Pride Parade contingent! There is nothing quite like the thrill and exhilaration of riding down the center of Market Street in one of the biggest Pride celebrations in the world.

Decorate your bicycle beforehand and craft the perfect Pride outfit. Bring the whole family – kids are welcome! (Though be aware that some standing around is inevitable, and, if your little one plans to ride, Market Street has Muni tracks, metal grates, and other potential hazards.)

This year, we’re dedicating our contingent in support of trans rights, and in particular in support of Black and brown trans people in SF. Trans people in SF are 18 times more likely than non-trans people to be unhoused, and face higher rates of violence — and rates are even higher for Black and brown trans folks. We can do better! Let’s encourage our city to not just talk the talk, but walk the walk (or ride the ride!) for Black and brown trans folks!

In that spirit, we invite participants to make a donation to the Young Women’s Freedom Center, a California nonprofit working to support and organize young women and trans youth of all genders.

You must be a current member of the SF Bicycle Coalition, Bike East Bay, or the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition to ride in the contingent. Not a member? Select the “Parade RSVP + SF Bicycle Coalition Membership” ticket type.

Important details:

• Our contingent lineup number is 119
• Our pre-parade staging area is “Area N1“, Main Street between Howard and Mission (enter the block from Howard)
• Remember to pack minimally, but be prepared with sunscreen, sunglasses etc, water, and a snack
• Please arrive between 10:30am and 11am! (and be prepared to wait)
• At the end of the route at 8th Street, exit the route to the right, continuing onto Market St — we will gather nearby for a contingent photo!
