San Francisco is a great city for biking and this Election Tuesday we can make it even better! Help us build the political will, and support funding, so that we can make biking in San Francisco safer and more fun. Join us in supporting Propositions A and B, voting “No” on L and voting for strong leadership that will help us Connect the City and achieve the Vision Zero goals of no more traffic fatalities.
Vote YES on Propositions A &B: Prop A and B provide critical investments in safe streets and improved Muni reliability without raising taxes. Prop A implements strict accountability standards and spending oversight. Prop B lifts us out of the downward spiral of neglect by tying transportation funding to a growing population. Read more about Proposition A and Proposition B.
Vote NO on Proposition L: Proposition L, which would make it harder and less safe for everyone to get around — whether you walk, bike, take transit or drive. Proposition L would direct the City to value fast flowing automobile traffic as highly as human safety when they design roads, and would take money away from Muni to build parking garages. The proponents of Proposition L say they want to take San Francisco back 10 years ago, before the “proliferation of bike lanes.” We disagree. Let’s move forward instead. SF Bicycle Coalition’s Endorsements for BART Board and Supervisors
In addition to these three propositions, getting the right people elected to local office is critical to continue pedaling forward. We are proud to endorse the following candidates for the Board of Supervisors and BART Board of Directors:
- District 2: No Endorsement
- District 4: Supervisor Katy Tang
- District 6: Supervisor Jane Kim
- District 8: Supervisor Scott Wiener
- District 10: Supervisor Malia Cohen
- BART District 8: Nick Josefowitz
We need your help to Bike the Vote today and tomorrow!
