Volunteer at San Francisco’s Best Biking Day of the Year

Hip, hip, hooray! 2015’s Bike to Work Day is Thursday, May 14. This will be the 21st anniversary of Bike to Work Day in the Bay Area, and we need over 300 volunteers to join us to help make this incredible event a success.

There are so many ways to help out, both leading up to the event and on Bike to Work Day itself. Whether this will be your first Bike to Work Day or your twenty-first, we’d love to have your help. Sign-ups close Thursday, May 7, so read on and sign up today!

Here all the great ways you can volunteer to help make this event a success:

Event promotion & prep:

Poster Distribution through Monday, April 20: Help us put up posters at cafes and bike shops all over town! We’ll provide the posters, tape and a map of locations; you provide the pedal-power. View the list of neighborhoods and sign up to spread the word about this great event.

Preliminary Bike Counts* Thursday, April 16: We know that Bike to Work Day is one of San Francisco’s biggest biking days of the year, and this year we want to collect more of that data! We need to volunteers to tally the number of people riding past a month in advance of Bike to Work Day, so that we can compare it with our data from the big event.

Bag-Stuffing Party, Wednesday, May 6: Join us for our annual bag-stuffing party at the Sports Basement as we stuff 6,000 bags with goodies in preparation for Bike to Work Day! Whether you can join us for just one hour or all four hour, we’ll be happy to have your help. We’ll reward you with a free dinner and endless gratitude. Sign up to be a part of this busy, high-energy night.
