Women Bike SF Recap: Favorite Rides and Safer Streets

We’re so grateful to all the riders that joined us at this morning’s Women Bike SF Coffee Club! About a dozen people started their day by popping into the Mercury Cafe for coffee and conversation with fellow women, trans* and femme (WTF) riders about why they love biking in San Francisco.

The bright morning promised to be one of those days that makes San Francisco so appealing to cycling. People from all backgrounds swung by and talked about many different subjects, from safety for people biking, to making more streets bike-friendly; from our favorite places in the area to ride bikes, to more ways to connect more WTF people to bikes.

In a city where only 32 percent of people commuting by bike identify as female, our Women Bike SF program aims at encouraging more WTF folks to enjoy the freedom of biking as part of our mission in making the city a better place to live and bike for all.

If you couldn’t make it to this month’s Coffee Club but still want to join the community, we have more events and resources than you can shake a stick at here!

Become a member and you'll improve your commute and get discounts at shops across the city.
