The Portola Branch Library is hosting the Summer Stride Kickoff Party on Saturday, June 8 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. Celebrate the launch of Summer Stride with bike and book-related fun!

  • Sign up for Summer Stride and spin the prize wheel
  • Pedal your own bicycle blended smoothies
  • Check out the Spoke & Word book bike
  • Get a free book

During the event, join us for a free Biking with Babies & Toddlers class to learn the answers to questions like:

  • Can I bike while pregnant?
  • When can I start riding with my baby?
  • How do I get ready to bike with my baby?
  • Should I get a front seat, back seat, tag along or family bike?

Immediately following the class, talk to our family biking experts, and learn about the variety of equipment options at the Family Bike Showcase. You’ll have the opportunity to see different electric pedal-assist family bikes. You’ll be convinced that these bikes are the best way to bike with kids to school, play dates, and for everyday transportation needs.

Schedule of events:

2:00 – 2:50 pm Biking with Babies & Toddlers Class

3:00 – 3:30 pm Family Bike Showcase

PLEASE REGISTER BELOW for the free class. Children and babies are welcome.
