A roomier bike lane. A greener bike lane. A not-in-the-door-zone bike lane.
All this and even more people-friendly improvements are currently being proposed by the SF Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) for the park-to-park connection on Arguello Boulevard.
There was a robust and positive conversation two weeks ago following a walking tour of Arguello Boulevard hosted by the SFMTA and attended by Supervisor Eric Mar, WalkSF, fellow SF Bicycle Coalition members and plenty of local residents. We want to give special thanks to Supervisor Mar for his support of this project and dedication to better biking and walking throughout the Richmond District.
These proposed improvements would go a long way to making Arguello Boulevard a more welcome place to bike. Take a moment to fill out the SFMTA’s online survey and check out their proposals here.
After they’ve gone through all the feedback, the SFMTA expects to go through public hearing and approvals this summer and implement as soon as possible. Your voice will help us get there, so be sure to fill out the survey today and support a people-friendly Arguello.
